Entered into eternal rest on Friday, February 26, 2010, James A. Dennis, resident of Hanahan, South Carolina. The funeral service for James A. Dennis was held at Goose Creek United Methodist Church on Tuesday, March 2, 2010 at 5:30 PM. The family received family and friends at a reception following the service.

 Mr. Dennis was born July 22, 1946 in Berea, Ohio, the son of the late Earl Daniel Dennis, and Maureen Moss Dennis, who survives. He was Director of Food Services for the Department of Social Services, and a member of Goose Creek United Methodist Church.

 Surviving are four daughters, Kim Dennis of North Charleston, SC., Kelly Martin and husband Glenn of Charleston, SC, Kerri Shorter and husband Daryl of Hanahan, SC., Kristen Witte and Steve Surface of Hanahan, SC.; mother, Maureen Dennis of Madison, FL.; twelve grandchildren: Kyle Dennis, Brian Dingle, Donell and Jeanell Myers, Shelby Williams, McKenna Martin, Bennett Martin, Kinsley Shorter, Kinnedy Shorter, Katelyn Witte, Kara Witte, Jason Witte, Jr.; one brother, Richard Dennis of Valdosta, GA; one sister, Lynda Norcross and husband Chad, of Summerfield, FL.

 In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Goose

Creek United Methodist Church, 142 Redbank Road, Goose Creek, SC 29445.
