Alan Wayne Daugherty, of Goose Creek, formerly of Moncks Corner, died on July 16, 2009. He was 63.
Services were held at Northwood Baptist Church on Greenridge Road in North Charleston on Saturday, July 18 at 4 p.m.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Arthritis Research, Medical University of SC, 171 Ashley Avenue, Charleston, SC 29405 and/or the National Kidney Foundation, 100 Executive Center Drive Suite 224, Columbia, SC 29210.
Born May 26, 1946 in Brownsville, PA, he was the son of Arthur Wayne Daugherty and Betty Riggle Daugherty Minear. Mr. Daugherty was a Vietnam War veteran. He was a retired employee of Alcoa in Mt. Holly. He loved the Lord above all else, spending time with his grandchildren, fishing and woodworking. He will be missed by all and loved forever.
He is survived by his wife, Candace Daugherty; his mother, Betty Minear; his children, Corrie Daugherty-Decker, Windy Daugherty White, Shane Daugherty, and Brent Daugherty; his grandchildren, Brandon White, Andrew White, Garrett White, Caleb Daugherty, and Anna Daugherty; his brothers, Rick Minear and Kenny Minear.
