A 52-year-old Goose Creek woman was killed the morning of May 21 when her 2004 Dodge Stratus, traveling eastbound on I-26 near mile marker 188, ran off the roadway and struck a tree in the median.
According to Berkeley County Chief Deputy Coroner Bill Salisbury, Wendy Sue Crasper of Goose Creek was pronounced dead at the scene. She was wearing a seatbelt, and was entrapped in the vehicle before being removed by emergency respondents, Salisbury said.
According to the South Carolina Highway Patrol, the accident is under investigation.
