Foreign Cars

  • Thursday, November 1, 2012

Dear Editor
As I drive the Lowcountry roads I see an awful lot of cars not owned and made by American companies. For those of you who are hurt by – or complain about – the economy, try thinking a little.
The profits off of any product, no matter where sold, go to the country and company owning that business. If it is U.S.-owned, part of the profits go into the shareholders’ pockets, part of it goes to upgrading and expansion of the business.
So when you can buy American, you are helping our economy. Foreign purchases help the foreign country.
So if you have lost your house for lack of a job, or have trouble paying your bills, and you drive a foreign car, you are part of the problem. This is all pretty obvious, so don’t come back with excuses, especially that they are made better. Foreign car repair shops aren’t going broke. Buy USA.
