Jessica Clayton was recently named the 2010 Hanahan High School Teacher of the Year. A six-year veteran, she currently teaches Advanced Placement English, Teacher Cadet and Honors English. When asked to summarize her philosophy of teaching she used three words: adjustment, application, and high expectations. Clayton will compete for Berkeley County School District Teacher of the Year with other exemplary Berkeley County educators.
