Sept. 11 flag ceremony, memorial service announced

American Legion Post 166 in Goose Creek will be hosting its 13th Annual Flag Disposal Ceremony / 9-11 Memorial Service on Thursday, Sept. 11 at 6 p.m.

The dignified ceremony disposes of torn, soiled and worn out American Flags. If you have a flag at home or work in this condition, please bring them to the Post for proper disposal.

The ceremony is open to the public and Post 166 encourage all Scout Troops, Junior ROTC Units and Active Duty Military Personal to attend.
