U.S. Congressman Mark Sanford will be in Goose Creek next week, as the Republican legislator is set to address the city’s NAACP branch on Aug. 25.
The monthly general meeting of the Goose Creek NAACP will be held on Monday, Aug. 25 at the Berkeley Electric Co-Op Bldg. 2 Springhall Drive across from Westview Elementary School at 7 p.m.
Sanford will take questions from the audience. According to Goose Creek NAACP President David Cakley, attendees are encouraged to ask him about the U.S. Congress, recent issues and the actions he has taken.
The meeting’s health topic will be on Alzheimer’s Disease, Cakley said.
NAACP meetings are held on the fourth Monday of each month. Everyone is invited to attend.
