A Goose Creek arson suspect has been arrested, the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office has announced.

A joint investigation by the BCSO and the Goose Creek Police Department has resulted in the arrest of a man who had been sought in connection with a series of fires that were set in the Goose Creek and Ladson area in the past week.

Patrick Joseph Coxe, 20, was taken into custody on Monday and charged with three counts of arson 3rd degree, burglary 2nd degree and malicious damage to property, the BCSO reported.

Coxe is being held at the Hill-Finklea Detention Center in Moncks Corner following a bond hearing Tuesday evening where a judge set his bond at $30,000 on each of the arson charges, $20,000 on the burglary charge, and $2,105 on the malicious injury to property charge totaling $112,105.

He is also being held on a drug possession charge by the Goose Creek Police Department.  Bond was set on that charge at $620.
