The competitive Dance Company for All That Jazz recently competed at KAR National Dance Competition held in Charleston and Showstopper held in Myrtle Beach.
The first group to compete performed a fun jazz routine to “Roar”. They placed second overall in the Primary Small Group 8 and under category. They also won a special Judges Award “Fame on the Way”; they won a Top Elite and Platinum Award.
The next group competed with a feisty and flirty routine to Trouble. They placed second overall in the Jr. Small Group category out of 36 groups. They also won a Double Platinum and Top Elite Award.
Hallyn White also competed in the 14-year-old solo category with a powerful routine titled “Live 2 Dance.” She won Platinum First Place and was Leading fourth overall out of 23 solo performers.
The last to compete was a Trio that performed a high energy tumbling routine to “Wings.” They won a Platinum First Place and placed fifth overall out of 26 Duet/Trios.
Students with All That Jazz will be competing at Showstopper Nationals held in July and performing on board Carnival Fascination in August on a weeklong Cruise.
