The Behavioral Health Services Association of South Carolina has announced its Board of Directors for 2014-2015.
Randy Cole, Chief Executive Officer of the Circle Park Behavioral Health Services serving Florence has been elected President. Vice President is Vernon Kennedy Sr., Executive Director of Fairfield Behavioral Health Services serving Fairfield County.
Janet Martini has been re-elected as Secretary. Martini is the Executive Director of Keystone Substance Abuse Services providing services in York County.
Dan Neel has been re-elected Treasurer of the association. Neel is the Executive Director of the Saluda Behavioral Health Services in Saluda County.
Regional representatives serving on the Assocation Board of Directors include Jerome Tilghman, Executive Director of the Ernest E. Kennedy Center located in Berkeley County, for Region 4. Sammy Miller, Executive Director of the Dorchester Alcohol and Drug Commission, is serving an at-large term on the board.
The Mission of BHSA is to support member agencies in the provision of quality behavioral health services that effectively meet the needs of the client and the community. BHSA is made up of the 33 local alcohol and drug abuse authorities designated by Act 301 of 1973, providing prevention, intervention and treatment services to the citizens of the 46 counties of South Carolina.
