Reebok Spartan Race training will be offered in North Charleston.

Reebok Spartan Race is hosting a new nationwide workout series for those interested in competing in their challenging series of obstacle-course races. As part of the nationwide series, a complimentary Workout of the Day training session has been scheduled from 9-11 a.m. July 27 at Palmetto CrossFit, located at 2460 Remount Road.

Attendees will be able to participate in up to three cutting-edge Spartan Group Exercise workouts within the relative vicinity of their homes. This will allow local athletes to prepare for upcoming Spartan Race events.

Members of Spartan HQ will lead each workout. Anyone can participate, whether they’re a seasoned extreme race veteran or relative newcomer. This workout series is dedicated to enhancing physical fitness, strengthening confidence, and ultimately readying participants for the Spartan Race.

A waiver form is required for the workout so preregistration is required. For more information or to register, visit http://www.spartanraceworkout.com.

Rebok Spartan Race events are held worldwide. Upcoming events scheduled for South Carolina include races on Oct. 25 and Oct. 26 at Carolina Adventure in Winnsboro.

Spartan Race, Inc. was recently voted Outside Magazine’s Best Obstacle Race. In 2013, Spartan Racers participated at 60 events worldwide in what for many was a transformational experience.

Spartan Race also offers an obstacle course event for the next generation of Spartans, those age four through 13.

With more than 130 events in 17 countries planned for 2014, Spartan Race continues to make obstacle racing one of the fastest growing sports in the world.
