Two men, ages 22 and 31, were involved in a shooting that is under investigation by the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office.
The men apparently shot one another, according to a BCSO report.
According to the report, which was released Wednesday afternoon by BCSO spokesman Dan Moon, a uniformed BCSO deputy responded to the area of Smalls Hill Road and Old Back River Road in Goose Creek in reference to a shooting early Wednesday morning.
The first victim was found “laying on his side on an embankment in the woods,” according to the incident report. A single gunshot wound was seen in the victim’s stomach. A small pistol was found under his leg, the report said.
The report said that the victim identified his accuser as a man named “D” he met to discuss buying a speaker.
A second victim was also located. It is not clear how many times each man was shot. Both men were hospitalized, according to the report.
An attempted murder charge could be forthcoming in the case, which is under investigation.
