File Photo The grand finale fireworks show is one of the main attractions at Goose Creek's July 4 festival.

Goose Creek residents planning to attend the 25th annual Fabulous Fourth in the Creek festival Friday night are encouraged to come early, and share a ride if possible.

The annual festival, which ends with a grand finale fireworks show that begins around 9:30 p.m., kicks off on Friday, July 4 at 6:30 p.m. behind City Hall at 519 N. Goose Creek Blvd.

Due to very limited parking, festivalgoers are encouraged to arrive early and carpool.

The festival will be highlighted by performances by the “Local Motion” party band. This popular group will feature an exciting mix of music to entertain the crowd all evening.

In additional to a variety of food vendors there will be a free children’s activity area sponsored by Freedom Life Church. Activities include a climbing wall, giant slide, jump castle, inflatable obstacle course, basketball shooting game, fun toss games and a patriotic tattoo parlor featuring temporary tattoos.

The highlight of the festival will be the grand finale fireworks display scheduled to begin around 9:30 p.m.

Admission to the festival is free. No alcohol, coolers, pets or outside fireworks including sparklers are permitted. Due to limited parking, no tailgating is permitted.

Sponsors for the festival are the City of Goose Creek, Freedom Life Church, Stephen Huch, DMD and Bayer Heritage Federal Credit Union.
