A 19-year-old North Charleston man is dead from a gunshot wound, and Berkeley County Coroner Bill Salisbury has ruled the death a homicide.
According to Salisbury, on July 4 at 4:28 a.m. the Hanahan 911 dispatcher received a call that a car had run into a house at the corner of Recess Road and Old Point Road.
When police arrived they found Terrence Kendall McNeil, 19, of North Charleston, in the driverís seat of the sedan. He had been shot and was pronounced dead on the scene by Deputy Coroner Kristin Mazzell.
An autopsy was conducted and his death has been ruled a homicide; the cause of death is gunshot wounds to the head. The investigation is ongoing by the Berkeley County Coronerís Office and the Hanahan Police Department, Salisbury confirmed.
