Cynthia Denise Taylor-Thomas, daughter of Michael Taylor and Celeste Rayrus, and wife of Timothy Thomas of Goose Creek, was awarded a Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry at a special recognition ceremony in May.
The UK College of Dentistry offers the Doctor of Dental Medicine degree, as well as postdoctoral programs in six fields of study: General Practice Dentistry, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Orofacial Pain, Orthodontics, Pediatric Dentistry, and Periodontics.
The College has a national and international reputation for its dynamic and innovative approaches to dental education.
Approximately 243 doctoral students and over 40 graduate students and residents are enrolled. In addition, 66 full-time faculty members provide an excellent student/faculty ratio and promote a very supportive atmosphere.
The UK College of Dentistry has graduated more than 2,700 individuals.
