Berkeley County officials have announced JBE Inc. will expand its operations by establishing a new facility in Hanahan.
The expansion is expected to create 20 new jobs.
The company, which serves the automotive, paper, aerospace, recreational and electrical industries, currently operates in Hartsville, Charleston and Pell City, Ala. The company is a provider of supply chain management solutions.
“JBE has been a part of South Carolina’s business community for more than 30 years, and we are excited to celebrate with them once again as they create 20 new jobs,” Gov. Nikki Haley said in a statement. “We look forward to their continued success”.
JBE Inc. was founded in 1982 and holds a Foreign Trade Zone designation. They work with numerous recognizable and leading brands, including Boeing, Cummins ENGINES, Honda Corporation, Otis Elevator, Hengst, ABB and Sonoco Products Company.

They represent the high caliber of company we continue to attract to Berkeley County,” Berkeley County Supervisor Dan Davis said in a statement. “They continue to grow and prosper, and we are excited to have them here serving the industries in our county and region.”
