Mayor declares ‘Amateur Radio Week’

Goose Creek Mayor Michael Heitzler has declared June 22-28 “Amateur Radio Week” in recognition of the outstanding services provided by the Trident Amateur Radio Club.

The Trident Amateur Radio Club will host an Amateur Radio Field Day exercise on June 28-29.

The event is a 24-hour emergency encampment exercise and demonstration of the Radio Amateurs’ skills and readiness to provide self-supporting communications.
