Home sales in the Charleston region rose slighly in May, according to a new market report released today.
The Charleston Trident Association of Realtors reported that 1,294 homes sold at a median price of $218,000 in May, up 1.3 percent from the 1,277 homes that exchanged hands fora median price of $212,000 in May 2013.
Industry experts have predicted that home sales for this year will be slower than 2013 due to modest job growth. Job creation is a big factor in home sales because employment triggers consumer spending.
The area is also facing low inventory of homes for sale. More of the story here http://bit.ly/1xEPrDe
