Shell casings found on Farm Road

  • Thursday, May 15, 2014

On the morning of May 9 an employee of a nearby business called police after finding about 100 shell casings off Farm Road in the 100 block.

The complainant said the casings were in the roadway near his business, according to a Goose Creek Police Department report.

The complainant said he thought it may have been part of a crime that happened the night before because the casings were not there the day before.

The 100 or so shell casings were collected from the roadside and placed into evidence. They appeared to have been on the roadway for some time as they were damaged, weathered and covered with debris.

It appears someone traveling by the area lost the items from some type of container that spilled onto the road, according to the report.
