Mayor issues ‘Mental Health Month’ proclamation

Goose Creek Mayor Michael Heitzler signed a proclamation declaring the month of May as “Mental Health Month” in the City of Goose Creek.

Heitzler met with representatives of Berkeley Community Mental Health Center to sign the proclamation.

Millions of adults and children are diagnosed with mental illnesses every year and only one out of two people with a serious form of mental illness seeks treatment for his or her mental illness.
