Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to Swift Boulevard near Goose Creek at about 9:50 p.m. on May 8 after there were reports of shots being fired at an apartment complex.
Deputies arrived at 100 Swift Boulevard in the vicinity of the “L” building, where residents said a shooting occurred behind the “G” building, according to a BCSO report.
The victim was located at unit in the “L” building and was attended to by medics. Crime scene tape was placed around the area of the crime.
Spent shell casings were gathered for evidence. Four vehicles in the parking lot were damaged by what appeared to be gunfire, according to the report.
A Honda Accord had damage to the passenger door, a Dodge Durango had damage to the driver’s side rear passenger door, a Ford Windstar had damage to its hood and a Dodge Avenger had a damaged hubcap.
Three of the vehicles had an estimated $1,500 in damage while one vehicle had an estimated $100 in damage.
The investigation continues.
