Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office Drug Enforcement Unit agents arrested a suspected drug trafficker following a traffic stop in the area of U.S.-52 and Medway Rd. near Goose Creek on May 9.
Deputies observed a white powdery substance on the driver’s seat that field tested positive for cocaine, according to BCSO. Deangelo Laprince Brown, 28, of Goose Creek is charged with two counts of trafficking cocaine when 11 gross grams were discovered on his person. After obtaining a search warrant, 22 gross grams were found at his apartment, along with 2 gross grams of marijuana.
Brown, who was also charged with driving under suspension when a license check revealed his driver’s license had been suspended, was transported to Hill-Finklea Detention Center.
