Brown wins USC leadership and service award

Christina-Lin Brown of Goose Creek, a sophomore biology major at the University of South Carolina, received the President’s Volunteer Service Award at the silver level at the university’s Leadership and Service Awards ceremony.

This recognition is given to citizens who report more than 175 hours of community service in a 12-month period.

Her extensive involvement at the University of South Carolina includes roles as the alumni vice president of Alpha Phi Omega National Service Fraternity, president of National Society of Collegiate Scholars, Impact Weekly Service Project leader, Alpha Lambda Delta Honor Society, Sigma Alpha Lambda Honor Society and volunteer at St. Andrew’s Kids Café.
