Gazette’s ‘Coffee with Candidates’ series features supervisor race

Photos provided Businessman Jerry Beckley, Moncks Corner Mayor Bill Peagler, and incumbent Dan Davis will vie for Berkeley County Supervisor in June.

The Gazette will debut a local election candidate series focused on the Republican supervisor race Wednesdays in May.

Coffee with the Candidates is open to the public, and will feature casual conversation between the candidate and potential voters at the Corner Cafe in Moncks Corner. The event is free and The Gazette will buy attendees a cup of coffee.

Gazette reporter Lindsay Street will moderate the discussion.

Three candidates have filed for the party’s nomination: incumbent Superintendent Dan Davis, Moncks Corner Mayor Bill Peagler, and businessman Jerry Beckley.

Coffee with the Candidates begins at 6:30 p.m. Here are the dates and candidates:

• Wednesday, May 14: Bill Peagler

• Wednesday, May 21: Dan Davis

• Wednesday, May 28: Jerry Beckley
