Heritage Trust Federal Credit Union employees and members supported the March of Dimes 2014 fundraising initiatives through bake sales, employee luncheons, personal donations and more through the first two months of the year.
Along with a corporate sponsorship commitment, Heritage Trust donated over $7,000 to the local chapter of this charity.
“Our members and employees have proven time and time again just how much they care about our community,” commented Jim McDaniel, Heritage Trust President/CEO. “Through this year’s March of Dimes campaign, employees showed their creativity through a variety of fundraisers, in which our members proudly participated in and showed their continuous generosity.”
Funds raised for the March of Dimes support research efforts to understand and prevent premature birth and other serious problems that threaten babies. The March of Dimes also funds local community programs that help moms have full term pregnancies and help babies begin healthy lives.
Heritage Trust employees will celebrate their fundraising success with thousands of community members at the March of Dimes signature event, the March for Babies on April 26 in Cannon Park.
