City seeks teams for Backyard BBQ Fest

  • Tuesday, April 1, 2014

The City of Goose Creek will present its Third Annual Beach and BBQ Festival on Saturday, April 26 from 4 to 7 p.m. on the grounds of the Marguerite H. Brown Municipal Center.

This free, family-friendly event will feature live music from Shem Creek Boogie Band, a corn-hole tournament, kid’s play area and a local Backyard BBQ Cook-off.

Local amateur barbecue teams are needed for this event. There are only 15 spots, so teams are encouraged to register early. There will be prizes awarded for the best barbecue.

Applications are available on the City’s website at www.cityofgoosecreek.com/BeachandBBQ. For more information, call Barbara Nimocks at 569-4242.
