Nicole Sadek, a sophomore from Charleston County School of the Arts, and Mount Pleasant resident, was named state champion at the 2014 S.C. Poetry Out Loud State Finals competition. The state finals took place on Saturday, March 15 at Columbia Museum of Arts and was organized by the South Carolina Arts Commission. Nicole will move on to represent South Carolina in the national finals in Washington, DC in April 29-30.
