A man reported a shooting at a trailer park off College Park Road at about 6 p.m. on March 12.
The complainant said he heard about six to 10 gunshots when he exited his residence. He also saw a tall, skinny, black male running down the street with a handgun, according to a Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office incident report.
A deputy found three spent shell casings lying in the street that appeared fresh. There was also broken glass from a vehicle.
The deputy spoke to other neighbors who gave the nickname of a suspect whom he said shot at a red Chevy Suburban as it exited the mobile home park. Bullets hit the rear window of the vehicle, according to the report.
There was no other information about the vehicle or its occupants at the time of the report.
The deputy was able to determine the suspect’s real name and went to the trailer where he lived. His mother answered and said he was not home. She did confirm the suspect’s alias and gave a matching description.
The suspect was unable to be located at the time of the report.
