Wando tennis took down Palmetto Christian Academy, 5-1, Wednesday at the Family Circle tennis center on Daniel Island.
PCA No. 1, Austin Heinz, earned the Eaglesí lone win, defeating Jacob Jahn 6-4, 6-3. Heinz is a perfect 4-0 on the season.
Eagles sixth-grader Luke Pendergast challenged for PCA in the No. 2 singles match, but Andrew DaCosta pulled out the win for Wando, 6-3, 7-6.
The Warriors were dominant through the bottom of the ladder, giving up just five games through the No. 3, 4 and 5 singles matches and earning a shutout in the No. 2 doubles match.
Wando (2-2) continues its five-game road stretch Thursday at Academic Magnet, while Palmetto Christian (1-3) hosts James Island at Family Circle.
