Bishop England boys golf captured first place at the inaugural Spirit Cup St. Pius X Matches Saturday at Chechessee Creek Club in Okatie, S.C.

The Bishops won all four ball matches in Friday's opening round with wins from teams of Jamie Wilson and Brendan McHale, B.J. Grevey and Ben Burton, Wilson Yearout and Patrick Tompkins, and Ben Quinque and Austin Dowd.

Bishop England went on to win four of six singles matches Saturday with wins by Wilson, Tompkins, Yearout and Burton for an 8-2 overall tournament win.

Tuesday, Bishop England placed third in the Hilton Head Christian Invitational at Secession Golf Club in Beaufort.

Grevey led the Bishops with a team-low 77. Wilson shot a 78, Yearout 82, and McHale 90. Trace Crowe won match medalist, shooting a 71 for Hilton Head.
