Hawks defeat Goose Creek 13-3

Christian Leakey and Seth Lancaster had home runs to highlight a nine-run explosion in the bottom of the first inning to help lead Hanahan to a 13-3 victory over Goose Creek on Wednesday night. Lancaster and Dalton Pate finished with two hits each and Lancaster drove in three runs. Lancaster's two-run blast gave Hanahan a 3-2 lead and the Hawks pulled away. Leakey's solo shot led off the game. Goose Creek had just two hits, including Cody Smith's two-run homer in the top of the first.
Hanahan ended the game with three runs in the bottom of the fifth inning. The Hawks improved to 2-0. They defeated Pinewood Prep 13-4 on Tuesday. The Gators fell to 1-1. They made four errors.
