Coastal Christian baseball knocked off Faith Christian, 17-5, on the road Tuesday.
Cory McDonald earned the win for Coastal, giving up three earned runs off three hits while striking out 12 and walking three through five innings.
McDonald had an even better night at the plate, hitting 3-5 with two triples, five RBIs and a walk. Connor Barrett finished 3-4 with a double and two RBIs, and Robert Crates hit 2-4 with a double and three RBIs. Coastal hit .405 as a team, pounding out 15 hits.
With a one-run lead in the top of the third inning, Coastal rang up seven runs, including a three-run triple by McDonald that scored Will Smith, Crates and T.J. Bott.
Seth White closed the game for Coastal, giving up one hit, no walks while striking out four through the final two innings.
Coastal travels to Myrtle Beach Friday to face Christian Academy.
