Several Goose Creek Police officers responded to Jackson Street near Goose Creek High School shortly after 4 p.m. on March 10.

A female victim called police to say a black man broke into her home, pointed a gun at her and demanded money.

Police and a K-9 were unable to track down the suspect, according to a GCPD incident report.

The victim said she was sitting on her couch with a three-year-old watching television when she heard the back door being kicked in. The victim said the suspect was wearing a blue shirt and pointed a shiny gun at her.

“Where’s the check? Where’s my money?” the suspect asked.

The victim said she threw her purse at him and told him she did not have any money, according to the report. The suspect made her put the child on the sofa as she went upstairs.

When she came back downstairs the child was still on the couch but the suspect was gone. The victim said she could not tell if the suspect took anything.

She was unable to tell which way he departed the residence. The suspect was tall, had a beard and wore earrings in both ears.

The victim told police she is in the last stages of pregnancy and the subject threw her to the floor at some point during the incident.

She refused to be transported to the hospital saying her mother would transport her there at a later time for evaluation.

The investigation continues.
