The Stratford High School football program held its annual awards banquet recently and recognized some of its players with hardware.
Quarterback Jacob Park and strong safety Michael Simmons were named most valuable players on their sides of the ball.
On offense, Bryce Smith was named the top lineman, Thad Thompson the receiver MVP and J.D. Davis scout team player of the year.
On defense, Cecil Smith was selected as the top linebacker, Joe Cook the defensive line MVP and Sheldon Reid the top player in the secondary.
Kicker/punter Tyler Tekac was MVP on special teams.
Simmons and Cook were recognized as leaders and received the Knights Pride awards.
