Gators, Knights win Region 7-AAAA titles

Rob Gantt/Gazette Stratford’s T.J. Deveaux was a region champion for the Knights.

Wrestlers from either Goose Creek or Stratford high schools captured the Region 7-AAAA titles in eight of the 14 weight classes earlier this month.

The top four finishers at each weight class earned spots in the Class AAAA Lower State qualifier at Beaufort High School this Friday and Saturday.

Goose Creek’s region champs are Allen Moran (106), Brandon Washington (113), Christian Rubin (152) and Caleb Rubin (160).

Stratford’s region champs are Ross Johnson (126), Kemp Shider (138), T.J. Deveaux (182), Daniel Dees (285).
