CSU baseball opener moved to Saturday

  • Wednesday, February 12, 2014

Charleston's Southern's 2014 baseball season opener with Villanova has been changed to a Saturday doubleheader at CSU Ballpark. First pitch of the doubleheader is at 1 p.m. with the second game to follow 45 minutes following the completion of the opener. The Bucs' Friday night opener was postponed after the Villanova's scheduled flight was cancelled. The two teams will conclude their three-game series on Sunday at 1 p.m. CSU is scheduled to send senior lefthander and 2013 All-Big South selection Tory Schroffto the mound in Saturday's opener. The Bucs also boast the Preseason Big South Player of the Year in junior centerfielder Bobby Ison, who prepped at Stratford.
