Vehicles flees from officer

  • Thursday, February 6, 2014

A Goose Creek Police Department officer was called off from a chase after a vehicle failed to stop for blue lights.

On Jan. 30 at about 4 p.m. a vehicle turned onto Amy Drive from Sarah Drive without using its turn signal, according to a GCPD incident report.

The officer activated their emergency equipment to stop the Cadillac driven by what appeared to be a male, the sole occupant of the vehicle.

The driver accelerated in an attempt to elude the officer. A GCPD sergeant told the patrol officer to cancel any attempts to catch up to the vehicle due to the nature of the traffic stop, according to the report.

No further action was required and the case was closed, according to the report.
