Local event decorator and certified balloon artist Jill Shortreed, principal owner of Charleston Balloon Company in Mount Pleasant was chosen as a charter member of the Your Balloon Pros Team to showcase at The Special Event at the Gaylord Opryland Resort and Convention Center in Nashville, Tennessee.
The Special Event (TSE) is the world’s largest trade show and conference for event professionals. TSE reaches thousands of event industry pros from 56 countries that work in a variety of markets from private event and wedding specialists to major corporations, or creators of extraordinary extravaganzas such as the Oscars, Super Bowl and the Olympics.
Shortreed was one of only ten professional balloon companies chosen from across the nation to showcase at TSE.
“This was truly an honor to be chosen to represent the balloon industry alongside other well respected artists in the balloon industry. It was our goal to show how events can be transformed using balloons as a decorating medium.” Shortreed along with the Your Balloon Pros team earned the People’s Choice Award. “This was truly a significant accomplishment that our booth was chosen from some of the top event companies across the world. It truly is a testament as to the power of professional balloon design and décor.”
Shortreed is the Principal Owner and Senior Designer of Charleston Balloon Company, for over 20 year she has designed and decorated incredible events up and down the East Coast from first birthday parties to concerts and large scale non-profit events.
The Charleston balloon artist noted that she attends several conventions and seminars throughout the year to stay on top of the industry’s latest trends and techniques.
