One man has been arrested and charged in connection with an armed robbery that occurred at the CVS Pharmacy at 1941 North Main Street in Summerville the night of Jan. 23.

Following up on a tip and descriptive information received from witnesses, Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office deputies took Marshall Stuart Johnson, 25, whose last known address is 1390 N. Highway 52 in Moncks Corner, into custody the afternoon of Jan. 25.

Witnesses said Johnson pulled up to the drive-thru window with a pistol and handed the employee a note demanding a prescription bottle of Oxycodone pills, according to BCSO.

Johnson is being held at the Hill-Finklea Detention Center. Two of his bonds have been set at a total of $300,000 for the armed robbery with a deadly weapon and possession of a weapon during a violent crime.

Bond has not been set for two other charges of obtaining a signature or property under false pretenses and petit or simple larceny $2,000 or less, according to the jail’s website.
