The S.C. Dept. of Health and Environmental Control has released some tuberculosis test results from teachers and students at Stratford High School.

According to a Jan. 21 press release, of the individuals tested for TB, there are currently no test results indicating active TB infection.
As of Jan. 21, 148 students had been tested and 146 returned negative test results, according to DHEC. Two tests were pending results.
Sixty-four staff members had been tested and 63 returned negative results. One test in the staff group was pending results.
An additional 18 individuals – six students, six teachers, three bus drivers and three additional school staff members – were tested Jan. 21.
Forty-one individuals had not yet been tested and DHEC will continue to follow-up with these 26 students, 11 teachers, and four bus drivers.
An additional 15 students who have either graduated or transferred have been notified for testing. Three were tested Jan. 21.
All of these individuals have been notified by DHEC, reminded that they need to be tested, and informed that nurses were available to do so today.
