Start the year off right with a delicious collaboration between Louie’s Kids and Sol Southwest Kitchen and Tequila Bar in Mount Pleasant. In a “do our part” to giving back in the community, Sol will host Louie’s Kids as the recipients of their monthly “Kitchen Karma” program – just in time for a new year of healthy lifestyle changes.
“From the start we wanted to be rooted in the community,” said David Clark, one of the principals of the group. “Being locally owned and operated is just part of it. We wanted to partner with local charities from day one and really become part of the community. Each month we will have a featured dish and cocktail that we will donate $1 from every one sold to the Kitchen Karma Cause of the Month.”
Louie’s Kids was an easy selection for this month being a local organization visibly changing the future of the children that they mentor and help everyday. Events such as this support the future of our community by investing in the future of the children right here in Charleston.
“This is so timely as we are once more reminding all families that resolutions are meant to be lifestyle changes,” said Louis Yuhasz, founder of Louie’s Kids. “We have been committed to the health and wellness of the greater Charleston community for many years and are proud to partner with a group that believes like we do: eating out doesn’t have to break your belly bank. We are teaching families every day that if you are planning to make a change you don’t have to wait until Jan. 1, do it now, eating out happens and it can be healthy and inexpensive.”
What: “Kitchen Karma,” to benefit Louie’s Kids, Sol will donate $1 for every purchase of a Bison Burger or “Blackberry Margarita,” through February 10th.
Who: Sol Southwest Kitchen and Tequila Bar 1101 Stockade Lane, Mt. Pleasant, SC 29464
