Police seek forgery suspect

The Goose Creek Police Department needs help identifying the individual seen here in the above image taken from the Heritage Trust and South Carolina Federal Credit Union in Goose Creek. The individual entered the businesses and cashed two fraudulent checks for a total amount of $1,750. The Goose Creek Police Department is asking for help in identifying a forgery suspect.

The individual in question was seen on separate occasions at the Heritage Trust and South Carolina Federal Credit Union in Goose Creek, according to a statement released by police on Tuesday afternoon.

The individual entered the businesses and cashed two fraudulent checks for a total amount of $1,750.

The victim of the S.C. Federal Credit Union reported that a fraudulent check with her name on it cleared her account in the amount of $850. The memo on the check said “boat trailer.” The victim was able to provide police with a suspect’s name, according to an incident report.
