All Berkeley County School District schools and before-school programs will operate according to a three-hour delay on Tuesday, Jan. 7 due to forecasts of extremely cold weather.
Parents can find the three-hour delay schedule for their children’s schools on the district’s website at:
As of Monday afternoon, there were no expected cancellations of the district’s after-school child care or after-school programming tomorrow afternoon, according to a statement released by BCSD Public Information Officer Susan Haire.
The district asks that parents please dress their children in layers and in warm clothing. During times of severe weather, the district works very closely with its partners including Berkeley County Emergency Preparedness to make decisions related to school dismissals, delays, closures, and busing.
The district is asking citizens to please continue to monitor their website at BCSDSchools.net, the district’s Facebook page, through the media, or through additional call-out messages for any other possible scheduling changes.
