Jack is back. The Southeastern Wildlife Exposition welcomes Jack Hanna back to help celebrate 32 years of SEWE. Animal expert, television personality, author and conservationist, Jack Hanna will return to Charleston this February to entertain and delight SEWE attendees at the Charleston Music Hall with live animal presentations.
Jack Hanna, whose last appearance at SEWE was in 2012, explores the globe as one of the most visible and respected animal ambassadors in the world. Along with staff members from the Columbus (OH) Zoo, where he serves as the director emeritus, Hanna will show off interesting creatures of all kinds, educating the audience while he entertains. In addition to frequent appearances on programs including Late Night With David Letterman, The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Entertainment Tonight, FOX News and CNN programs, Hanna hosts the three time Emmy Award winning Jack Hanna’s Into the Wild. He also has a new TV show, Jack Hanna’s Wild Countdown, which can be seen on ABC affiliates Saturday mornings.
Due to limited seating at Charleston Music Hall, a separate ticket is required for all Jack Hanna performances. Guarantee your seat at one of Jack Hanna’s four performances for just $10 by visiting sewe.com or by calling Etix at 1-800-514-3849. Lap sitters (ages two & under) are free. Jack Hanna’s live presentations will be Friday, Feb. 17 and Saturday, Feb. 15 at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m.
“It will be great to have Jack again in February. He is a big fan of SEWE and of Charleston, so we could not ask for a better ambassador for us as he travels the country. Charleston Music Hall will be a very up close and intimate venue to see Jack, and we are urging attendees to purchase their tickets in advance while they are still available,” said John Powell, SEWE Executive Director.
In addition, the team from Busch Wildlife Sanctuary, a non-profit refuge for sick, injured and orphaned wild animals will present furry and feathered friends. Through their programs with live, non-releasable wild animals, Busch Wildlife Sanctuary teaches SEWE attendees about their habits and habitats. Admission to see Busch Wildlife is included with the purchase of a SEWE ticket, but seating at Charleston Music Hall is on a first come, first served basis and is not guaranteed. Busch Wildlife shows will be Friday, Feb. 14 and Saturday, Feb. 15 at 4 p.m., and Sunday, Feb. 15 at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m.
General admission tickets are currently on sale with an additional 15% discount through January 1st. Ticket prices range from $10 to $40 and are available at www.sewe.com
