The following incidents were obtained from Goose Creek Police Department reports:
A burglary occurred sometime between Dec. 7 and Dec. 10 at a Mayfield Drive residence.
A firearm was reported stolen from the Hayden Hill subdivision home.
The victim said he was checking his garage and discovered his blue steel Savage M111 30-06 rifle with a Nikon scope was missing.
He said he was installing new hardwood floors in his residence and the garage was left open during the daytime. No other items were found to be stolen at the time. The gun and scope are valued at $600.
Sometime on the evening of Dec. 14 a 9mm handgun was stolen from an Isle of Palms marked police cruiser parked at a Gainesborough Drive residence. The Kel Tec PF9 firearm was valued at $400. About $500 of damage was caused to the vehicle.
When the victim got into his vehicle in the morning he noticed the passenger window was broken. The trunk of the vehicle was in disarray. Another gun in the vehicle was not stolen.
On Dec. 15 an officer responded to a North Goose Creek Boulevard business in regard to property damage. One of the rooms in the business had been vacated by a male and female just before the floor damage was discovered.
The carpet appeared to be burnt or damaged by some kind of intense heat.
There was an undamaged circular pattern in the middle of the damage as if the chemical and/or fire had escaped from a container and spilled onto the floor. There were also boot marks in the damaged area. The damage is estimated at $500. Prosecution was declined.
