They wore mostly red – with some white and green – merrily decorated Christmas sweaters as they gathered, ate, danced and saw Mrs. Claus.

That was the scene when hundreds of seniors gathered for the Berkeley Seniors Inc. Christmas Party on Dec. 13 at the Fraternal Oder of Police Lodge No. 19 near Moncks Corner.

A pair of DJs grooved up the party as about 20 lively participants cut a rug on the dance floor performing various line dances. There were a bunch of funny moves, some sassy struts and a lot of laughter.

Everyone then took their seats and the lights dimmed. A white Christmas tree with red decorations lit up the room as Mrs. Claus (Berkeley Seniors Executive Director Tonya Sweatman) made an appearance to read aloud a short Christmas story.
