Goose Creek Police Department officers discovered a methamphetamine lab located at an Anita Drive home on Monday afternoon.

GCPD officers, acting on a citizen complaint, responded to 433 Anita Drive to investigate narcotics activity, according to a GCPD statement.

Officers spoke to the resident and obtained consent to enter the residence where evidence of a methamphetamine lab was observed.

A search warrant was obtained and the residence was searched resulting in the discovery of a methamphetamine lab.

Two subjects were in custody Monday pending charges related to possession of methamphetamine according to GCPD.

Investigators from the Charleston office of the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) were on scene.

A clean-up crew in orange and white hazmat suits collected the materials for disposal.
