The Governor’s School for Science & Mathematics (GSSM) is hosting two information sessions in the Charleston area.
These sessions, called “SmartTalks,” are designed for students and parents who are interested in learning more about GSSM’s two-year, public, residential program for academically talented juniors and seniors interested in pursuing advanced studies in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM).
The first session is Dec. 9, 6p.m. at College of Charleston’s Robert Scott Small Building, Room 235, Charleston, SC 29424.
The second session is Dec. 10, 6 p.m. at Oakbrook Elementary School, 306 Old Fort Dr., Ladson, SC 29456.

Students may only apply to GSSM during their sophomore year of high school. The application deadline for the class of 2016 is Feb. 15.
