Photo Provided Seven Hanahan students were among 500-plus students who attended the 41st Annual Clemson Poetry Declamation contest in October. Last year the team returned with four medals in Spanish. This year is the first year HHS exchange students were invited to attend, and all four returned with medals in their respective native speaker category. Pictured are (l-r) Toshiki Taniguchi, first place, Japanese; Alessio Roemer, third place, German; Martina Soffritti, first place, Italian; and Laura Decock, third place, French.
