Agents with the Drug Enforcement Unit of the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office arrested a Goose Creek woman last week for various drug charges.
Peyton Almers, 20, was taken into custody at her apartment on Harbor Lake Drive following the execution of a search warrant.
Deputies found methamphetamine, cocaine, marijuana, a stolen handgun and numerous drug paraphernalia, including pipes, digital scales and plastic bags. Also found were components of a methamphetamine lab at the residence, according to a BCSO statement.
The BCSO charged Almers with the manufacture and distribution of methamphetamine, trafficking methamphetamine, trafficking cocaine, possession of marijuana, possession of a stolen firearm, the sale or delivery of a pistol by certain persons unlawful during the commission of a violent crime, possession of other controlled substances schedule I - V and possession with intent to distribute LSD.
Almers is being held at the Hill-Finklea Detention Center. At a bond hearing bond was set at $135,000 for seven of the eight charges.
This case is under investigation. An arrest and charges against another suspect may be forthcoming.
